Biography

Yin Rui Ph.D. is professor of the School of Information Technology in Education, South China Normal University. Her research is focused on instructional system design, which looks at how to design innovative and effective teaching in broadly defined digital technology-supported context. Her work delineates the design, development, application and evaluation of online courses, in order to promote learning engagement. Her research also aims at professional development, especially teaching competencies assessment and design thinking improvement for pre-service and in-service teachers. Her ongoing research includes (1) construction of digital courses based on innovative technologies, (2) multimodal learning analysis on learning engagement in various contexts, (3) technology-supported professional development.
