Ma Xiufang, Ph.D. in Educational Technology, Associate Professor and Master Supervisor of School of Educational Information Technology, South China Normal University, Visiting Scholar of the University of Pittsburgh, Executive Director of the Professional Committee of Educational Technology in Guangdong Universities and Moderator of the National First-class Courses. She is mainly engaged in the research of artificial intelligence education application, teachers' professional development in information technology, and data analysis of teaching research.

In recent years, focusing on the digital transformation of education and the research of smart education platform, she has been deeply involved in the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National Social Science Fund of China, and the research project on the application of the Smart Education of China platform of the Department of Science and Information Technology of the Ministry of Education. She has presided over and participated in the completion of three national-level projects, five projects of the Ministry of Education, and four provincial and municipal-level projects. She has published 5 textbooks and more than 40 papers in Chinese and English. She has won the second prize of national teaching achievements and the first prize of provincial university teaching achievements. She has guided students to win the second prize of the National Teaching Skills Competition for Full-time Master of Education, the second prize of the Teaching Skills Competition for Undergraduate Teacher Training Students of Guangdong Province (Education Information Technology Group), and has been awarded the honorary title of “Outstanding Teacher” by the South China Normal University.
