On March 20, the College of Educational Information Technology held the third session of the “Development Salon,” combined with the 2024 annual performance review and training session for Party branch secretaries. More than 20 participants attended, including College leaders, Party committee members, department chairs, Party branch secretaries, committee members, student leaders from the Party Building Center, and faculty and student representatives. The meeting was chaired by Party Secretary Hongquan Zhao.
During the review session, each Party branch secretary summarized achievements and identified areas for improvement over the past year, outlining plans for future development. Following the reports, Professor Guosheng Hu, Party Secretary of the School of Marxism, delivered a thematic training session. Drawing on the School of Marxism’s practical experience, he shared insights on Party organization building, institutional development, and the coordinated advancement of Party building and business operations.
Focusing on new requirements and trends in Party building—particularly the concept of “Party Building-led Development”—the College explored ways to integrate Party building with teaching, research, and administrative work. Discussions centered on optimizing branch structures, diversifying Party activities, strengthening integration mechanisms, and improving outcome evaluation.
Secretary Zhao affirmed the progress achieved by each Party branch and the accomplishments of this salon session. He also identified existing challenges and provided specific guidance for improvement. He emphasized strengthening theoretical study, innovating activity formats, deepening integration between Party building and business operations, and fully leveraging the exemplary role of Party members.
Participants noted that the session broadened their perspectives, enhanced their professional competencies, and clarified future directions for Party building. They expressed commitment to applying best practices and promoting higher-quality integration between Party building and educational work.
